About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at a well-maintained retirement home in Burton. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our elderly service users, providing personalized support and care to meet their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to ensure service users receive the necessary support and care.
  • Provide personal care duties, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as observation checks to ensure the residents' safety and hygiene.
  • Engage service users in activities to promote their physical and mental well-being, such as exercise, hobbies, and social events.
  • Ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment, including hoists, slide sheets, and rotundas, to assist service users with mobility and transfers.
  • Oversee the health and safety of service users under your care, reporting any concerns or incidents to management.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to cleaning rotas and safety procedures.
Working Hours
  • Flexible hours available, including early shifts, late shifts, and night shifts.
Pay and Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate of £11.50 for day shifts and £12.00 for night shifts.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 months of paid UK work experience in a care home or nursing home setting.
  • Referenceable work history, with the ability to supply 2 professional reference contacts.
  • In-date mandatory training certificates.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
