In this role, you will be working in our Immingham production facility.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000, depending on experience.

Job Description:

This role involves optimising production processes, ensuring high product quality, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) in our plasterboard production facility.

You will conduct daily process checks, manage improvement projects, guide plant personnel, design mechanical parts, and perform data analysis to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety: Adhere to Knauf Health and Safety policies and procedures, as well as UK HSE laws and regulations.
  • Maintain Quality and Security: Ensure high standards of health and safety, quality, and security in the work environment, compliant with ISO and Knauf standards.
  • Process Checks: Conduct routine inspections and checks of production processes to ensure smooth operation and adherence to quality standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee short and mid-term projects aimed at meeting and exceeding production KPIs related to efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Techincal Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to plant personnel, ensuring best practices are followed and operational issues are promptly addressed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and execute continuous improvement and Statistical Process Control (SPC) projects on the production line to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify trends, uncover inefficiencies, and develop actionable insights for process enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Professional experience in plasterboard production or other production experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Project Management: Able to manage simultaneous projects.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Problem Solving: Great problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work with and influence others in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility regarding working hours.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP applications.
  • Educational Background: Educated to degree level or equivalent within a scientific or engineering discipline or relevant level experience.
