About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Development Specialist to join our team for a five-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. This is a part-time role working 22.25 days holiday in addition to statutory Bank Holidays (pro rata).

  • Two additional days of personal leave per year for religious holidays and/or wellbeing days
  • Volunteer Days - two additional days of paid leave each year to volunteer for another charity or our Sported members
  • Up to five days of paid study leave for self-funded education/training

The successful candidate will support community sports groups in rural areas of Lancaster, focusing on building relationships and facilitating collaborative networks.

This rewarding role offers the chance to make a real difference by supporting community sports groups to tackle challenges of rural deprivation and create life-changing opportunities for young people.

In this role, you will work to address the challenges of rural deprivation, helping groups create opportunities for young people to become physically active. You will also help establish sustainable solutions that benefit the area and its people beyond the five years of the project.
