Job Title: Band 5-6 Biomedical Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care by performing technical, scientific, professional, and clinical duties.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Immunology and experience in aspects of autoantibody and allergy analysis. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with good laboratory practice, quality assurance procedures, and participating in internal and external quality assurance programs.

About the Role:

  • Perform technical, scientific, professional, and clinical duties to meet the needs of the lab service.
  • Collaborate with the Biomedical Scientist Team Lead to observe and implement policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
  • Working knowledge of Autoantibody and allergy analysis, Laboratory Health & Safety.
  • Instrumentation and quality systems.
