Elevation Recruitment Groups Skilled Shop Floor Division is proud to be working in partnership with a leading Aerospace business based in the Sheffield area. We are currently seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join the team at this exciting time of expansion.

ROLE: Laser Operator

PAY: £34,809

HOURS: 3 Shifts (mornings, afters, nights)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To set up and operate laser cutting equipment
  • To perform laser cutting operations of components manufactured
  • To inspect laser cut components to drawing specifications
  • To maintain the standard of all fixtures associated with the Laser process
  • To keep equipment operational by completing autonomous maintenance and calibration requirements
  • Other duties as assigned, requested or needed

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven track record in a Laser operating position – minimum 3 years, preferably within the Aerospace sector
  • Experience with Trumpf machines is desirable
  • Basic understanding of lean principles (5S) is desirable
  • Experience of working to production targets is essential
