Senior PR Account Manager

Denholm Associates is seeking a highly experienced Senior PR Account Manager to join our dynamic team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our account team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, crafting strategic PR campaigns to elevate their presence with their target audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients' PR accounts, providing strategic advice and counsel to aid their PR and wider marketing campaigns.
  • Develop industry, sector, and product-focused PR campaigns, providing product or company information to the media, developing news angles, stories, and pitches.
  • Build relationships with existing and new clients, key media contacts, and liaise with clients regarding press campaigns, creative projects, and PR solutions.
  • Deal with the media, speaking to journalists and other members of the press, briefing clients on press campaigns, and providing creative ideas when needed.
  • Analyse PR coverage, key performance indicators, and provide written reports, effectively recording and monitoring client billing and finance reporting.
  • Keep abreast of current PR trends and tools, managing and mentoring junior team members, including leading in-house training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Strong networking and business development credentials, with high levels of communication, presentation, verbal, and written skills.
  • Impressive emotional intelligence and interpersonal expertise, with outstanding organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects, portfolios, and people at any one time.
  • Experience of working with business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) PR accounts, with evidence of copywriting, marketing, and report writing, social media, event management, and client liaison skills.
