Senior PR Account Manager

Denholm Associates is seeking a highly experienced Senior PR Account Manager to join our dynamic team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our account team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, crafting strategic PR campaigns to elevate their presence with their target audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients' PR accounts/clients
  • Provide strategic advice/counsel to clients to aid their PR and wider marketing campaigns
  • Develop industry, sector, and product-focused PR campaigns
  • Provide product or company information to the media, developing news angles, stories, and pitches
  • Build relationships with existing and new clients
  • Liaise with clients regarding press campaigns, creative projects, and PR solutions
  • Deal with the media, speaking to journalists and other members of the press
  • Brief clients/update on press campaigns, providing creative ideas when needed
  • Analyse PR coverage, key performance indicators, and provide written reports
  • Effectively record and monitor client billing and finance reporting
  • Keep abreast of current PR trends and tools
  • Manage/mentor junior team members, including leading in-house training sessions

Requirements:

  • Strong networking and business development credentials
  • High levels of communication - both presentation, verbal, and written skills
  • Impressive emotional intelligence and interpersonal expertise
  • Outstanding organisation with an ability to manage multiple projects, portfolios, and people at any one time
  • Experience of working with business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) PR accounts
  • Evidence of copywriting, marketing, and report writing, social media, event management, and client liaison skills
