High Voltage Engineer Position

Due to a huge workload increase and an ongoing plant expansion project, we are seeking multiple High Voltage Engineers to join our team in Wigan.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the maintenance of high voltage electrical systems, including HV qualification although this is not essential. This is a permanent role working 4 on 4 off days and nights with a salary up to £55,000 + 9% pension and 7 x Life Insurance.

About the Job

The high voltage engineer will be responsible for identifying and troubleshooting electrical faults, performing routine maintenance tasks, and collaborating with the engineering team to implement improvements and upgrades. The ideal candidate will have recognised apprenticeship in relevant discipline (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) and experience of working within a continuous process or production facility.

  • Design, install, and maintain high voltage electrical systems
  • Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement safety procedures
