Job Title: Activity Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Activity Coordinator to join our team at Richmond Village Witney. As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and honouring choice to help our residents live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify suitable activities for our residents through assessment, observation, and discussion, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Liaise with residents, relatives, friends, and colleagues to ensure a good understanding of residents' interests, abilities, and difficulties, and encourage participation in activities.
  • Assist the Head of Activities in planning special events at the village, such as garden parties, musical events, and day trips, ensuring activities are carried out within the agreed budget and accurate financial records are maintained.
  • Assist residents with letter writing, shopping, and reading, encouraging the pursuit of individual hobbies.
  • Ensure the activities programme is regularly updated and advertised within the village, including events within the local community.

Requirements:

  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Experience organising events.
  • Advantageous experience working with the elderly and/or vulnerable.
  • Positive attitude, ability to motivate residents using energy and a great sense of humour.
  • Empathetic and friendly approach, with the ability to build long-lasting professional relationships with colleagues, residents, their families, and members of the local community.
