Head of Commercial and Contract Management

We are seeking an experienced Head of Commercial and Contract Management to join our team at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage all contract negotiations and post-contract commercial management for our Securing the Future Programme.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and manage all contract negotiations and post-contract commercial management for the Securing the Future Programme.
- Ensure the delivery of a robust, high-quality, and professional contract management service that meets statutory, regulatory, and NHS requirements.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies for the relevant sub-programmes, positioning the Trust to maximise value, minimise risk, and achieve the programme's intended benefits.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing measurable efficiencies in both cost and operational delivery.
- Provide critical market insights and adapt to changing needs, potentially involving the line management, coaching, and development of a sub-team dedicated to delivering strong commercial contracts.

Person Specification- Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
- Professional procurement or commercial qualifications e.g. MRICS, MCIPS.
- Extensive experience in commercial management, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within the NHS.
- Subject matter expertise across a number of key areas relating to Contract Management.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a large infrastructure programme interfacing with project managers, planners, risk managers and project controls.
