Job Summary

We're seeking a compassionate and resilient individual with experience working with individuals with autism and challenging behaviors. As a Care Companion, you'll be part of a dynamic team that supports a diverse group of people within our residential service in Four Marks.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to enhance the quality of life for our residents by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging community access, socialization, and engaging activities.

  • Enhance the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, Downs Syndrome, and autism.

  • Support residents to develop independence through life skill development and encouragement.
  • Engage in various activities, such as swimming, watching films, or going to the cinema, to promote socialization and community integration.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience working with individuals with autism and challenging behaviors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A valid DBS check and references.
