About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at Kerridge Commercial Systems. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analysing, capturing, and defining product requirements in accordance with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand vision, business objectives, and team/departmental priorities.
  • Elicit business requirements using various techniques to ascertain market or customer needs.
  • Evaluate information received to understand and distinguish must-haves versus nice-to-haves.
  • Overlay key requirements with current system processes and workflows to identify functional gaps.
  • Document requirements following standard processes and procedures in a format that development teams can easily understand.
  • Work with the Product Owner and Development Teams to decompose and refine an appropriate solution, assessing effort estimates for the proposal.
  • Validate and achieve sign-off on scoping with stakeholders before requirements are prioritised within the product backlog.
  • Communicate time and effort estimates to the Project Manager/Customer Stakeholder.
  • Participate in team ceremonies, acting as the subject matter expert and go-to person for these requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer/market/business and the development teams, ensuring that any questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Attend sprint reviews to monitor progress of development, ensuring that the team stays on track and does not deviate from the agreed set of requirements.
  • Complete a final review of the development against the requirements and give approval for release.
  • Facilitate UAT workshops by defining UAT criteria, transferring knowledge to the end user while tracking the success of the UAT.
  • Achieve customer/business sign-off on the delivered features.
  • Work with the Technical Authors to ensure that appropriate product documentation is captured, detailing how the new features are configured and operate on the system.
  • Hand over the development to the Support Team and wider business by providing appropriate documentation and/or training.
Requirements
  • Experience in working with different business partners and customer stakeholders, of varying seniority levels, to understand business needs and commercial benefits.
  • Experience and knowledge of ERP products for both SME and Enterprise level customers.
  • Knowledge of the rental industry and relevant market verticals (e.g. Construction and events).
  • Experience in working with Agile delivery and business teams (e.g. Scrum or Kanban etc.).
  • Experience in the decomposition of requirements (Initiative to Epic to Story), story pointing, backlog refinement, and sprint ceremonies.

  • The ability to collaborate with technical teams to establish a vision, analysing trade-offs between requirements, usability, and performance.
  • The ability to adapt to change in any periods of change/disruption.
  • The ability to accurately prioritise, organise, and plan work and seek continuous improvement to drive efficiencies in the product space.
  • The ability to progress multiple projects simultaneously, tracking defined milestones against agreed timelines.
  • The ability to critically analyse own work and that of the wider team, providing constructive feedback within the wider team.
