  1. Overview of the Role
    Heartwood Collection is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Group FP&A Manager. As a key member of the Finance team, this individual will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights and analysis to support business growth and decision-making.


  2. Key Responsibilities


    • Weekly Analysis and Reporting

      • Assist in the management of weekly reporting processes, including sales, promotions, and labour costs.

      • Attend weekly trading meetings to report on key sales metrics and factors impacting sales.

      • Partner with other functions, particularly Marketing, to drive sales growth.

      • Analyse labour and margin data to inform business decisions.




    • Menu Development, Labour Analysis, and Analytics

      • Support menu modelling and analysis of menu changes on Group margins and sales mix.

      • Work with operational teams to ensure labour hours align with budget and support commercial negotiations with suppliers.

      • Collaborate with external procurement specialists to deliver forecast savings.




    • Budgets

      • Work closely with the Head of FP&A to manage the budget process.

      • Prepare budget packs for stakeholders and assist with site re-budgeting as needed.




    • Board Reporting

      • Assist in the production of the monthly board pack.

      • Provide analytical support to the senior management team to inform commercial decisions and board strategy.




    • Additional Responsibilities

      • Perform ad-hoc analysis for senior management, including modelling sales promotions and forecasting cost impacts.

      • Work closely with the Tableau Developer to develop reports in the BI tool, if required.




    Requirements

    • Qualified accountant with 2-3 years PQE.

    • Previous experience in financial analysis is essential.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    • Experience managing multiple projects and delivering to deadlines.

    • Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualisation tools.

    • Ability to work accurately, independently, and as part of a team to achieve results.

    • Commercially-minded with an ability to look at the bigger picture.

    • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative, and investigative skills.
