Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly and fitting of mechanical components for bespoke process equipment, including pressure vessels and rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control and ownership of mechanical build documentation.
  • Assembly and fitting of mechanical components in-line with tight tolerances.
  • Collaboration with Electrical / Control engineers to ensure completion of the equipment build.
  • Liaison with engineering in the resolution of problems relating to fit, function or design.
  • Inspection of Mechanical parts, Main Fabrications and Pressure Vessels at supplier facilities.
  • Work in a safe manner, ensuring H&S requirements are met.
  • Reporting of non-conformances via the quality systems in place.
  • Support the Production team in daily activities and provide regular contract updates.
  • Support in off-site installations at customer sites.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge and experience in mechanical assembly and fitting.
  • Understanding of mechanical tolerances and limits.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Electrical / Control engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
