About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Culinary Specialist to join our team at Bright Horizons. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting healthy and nutritious meals for our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals for children, ensuring minimum wastage and meeting dietary requirements.
  • Lead cookery club sessions with children, promoting healthy eating and nutrition.
  • Work closely with the nursery team to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Manage stock levels and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with parents and colleagues to promote healthy eating habits and child welfare.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in cooking in a domestic or commercial setting.
  • Passion for nutrition and inspiring others in healthy eating.
  • Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post.
  • Sound knowledge of COSHH and managing different dietary requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
