Electrical Control Panel Specialist

Actemium, a leading provider of engineering design, project management, and installation services, is seeking a skilled Electrical Control Panel Specialist to join their team in Staverton, Gloucester.

The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing and engineering disciplines to manufacture and test bespoke control panels from empty enclosures, selecting components, layouts, and wiring up following electrical drawings and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently build and wire control panels following electrical drawings and instructions within specified timescales.
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspection and testing on finished control panels both on the shop floor and at customer premises in line with approved standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintain safe working practices and adhere to quality control procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous panel wiring/panel building experience essential. LV Switchgear, motor control principles, and control panel design experience desirable.
  • Previous experience of interpreting electrical drawings and technical instructions.
  • Positive attitude with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to flexibly and proactively manage changing priorities and work to tight timescales.
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, must be able to communicate at all levels.
  • Able to work extended and/or unsocial hours to the full requirements of the role.
