Vulnerable Adults Support Specialist

As a key member of our team at Essex County Council's Adult Social Care services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality social care services to vulnerable adults in Essex.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our Partnership organisation promoting the standards for Employers of Social Work, working at the forefront of our community mental health treatment teams, providing EPUT's secondary mental health services.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering social care services, chairing meetings, and developing strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community. You will also contribute to change management, aligning with ECC's transformation goals and Key Performance Indicators under the Section 75 partnership agreement.
This role requires experience in social work, with the ability to advise clients on complex situations and provide exceptional care to vulnerable adults.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you should be a qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration, bringing significant experience in social work, demonstrating good practice in complex situations.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and adherence to current professional standards.
- In-depth understanding of the financial implications of commissioned care packages.
- Able to make clear decisions, highlight potential risks, and limit associated intervention.
This role requires a driving licence and car - or alternative mobility arrangements - due to the need to travel around Essex and beyond.
