Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Transportation team in Glastonbury, Somerset. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing contract costs from inception to completion, ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans
* Manage procurement processes, including tender preparation and evaluation, monitoring and controlling project finances, managing variations, and preparing detailed financial reports
* Conduct risk, value management, and cost control exercises
* Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, meeting compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards

Requirements

* Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor and a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
* Knowledge of construction processes, contract law, and industry regulations, with a proven track record in cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting
* Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, along with being detail-oriented with sound analytical and problem-solving abilities
