Hays Technology is supporting a growing, established business based in the South West to recruit for a new permanent Senior IT Infrastructure Manager. This role offers a salary up to £85,000pa depending on experience, plus benefits such as car allowance, company bonus, private medical, and 25 days annual leave.
Key Responsibilities- Head up the infrastructure and operations function, managing and leading a team of 10 across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line.
- Report into the IT Director and work closely with wider senior stakeholders in the IT Directorate.
- Provide strategic leadership in the team and promote best practice and driving IT modernisation programmes.
- Help the team with what good looks like and develop solid foundations for a successful IT infrastructure function.
- Be involved in budget management, IT governance, and development/career progression in the team.
- Extensive IT infrastructure experience, with most recent management of an IT infrastructure/operations environment in a medium to large organisation.
- Good understanding of technical infrastructure, but not necessarily hands-on.
- Good experience in leading large-scale IT modernisation/IT infrastructure transformation programmes.
- Ability to promote best practice and what good looks like.
- Good people management skills and ability to collaborate with wider teams in the business.
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and Cloud would be beneficial but not essential.
In return, you'll work in an important IT leadership role for a growing business in the South West and have a pivotal role in large-scale IT modernisation programmes.
