Job Title: Lead Vehicle Artist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Vehicle Artist to join our Racing Studio in London, UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D models for vehicles, working closely with Art Directors to ensure visual targets are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design and create 3D models for vehicles, including textures and UV layouts.
  2. Collaborate with the Art Directors to ensure the visual style and quality of the models meet the studio's standards.
  3. Implement models using shaders for use in games and social/marketing materials.
  4. Work with the programming and game design teams to ensure optimal use of polygons, shaders, and textures.
  5. Document workflow processes and communicate with the Art team and Outsource teams.
  6. Liaise with Producers to schedule asset creation.
  7. Oversee the quality of outsource vehicle assets and provide design packs.
  8. Participate in gathering vehicle data, including photoshoots and CAD analytics.
  9. Present on behalf of the car team to the studio and wider company.
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience in video game production, with at least 2 years as Lead Artist or Senior Artist.
  2. A proven track record in delivering high-performance, high-quality 3D assets for AAA titles.
  3. High proficiency in Maya and Photoshop.
  4. Experience in both modeling and texturing detailed hard surface props and intricate mechanical elements.
  5. Able to optimize low-polygon or mid-low-polygon models while considering aesthetic and technical factors.
  6. Good English language skills.
