About the Role
This Permanent Principal Planning Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking team at West Oxfordshire District Council. As a key figure in shaping high-value planning cases, you will lead a talented team of professionals to drive innovation and excellence in planning services.

Your Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing a variety of complex planning projects, from pre-application enquiries to post-application work. With strong leadership skills and experience of Planning Committee and Appeals, you will drive success and excellence in your team. A degree in Planning or a related field is essential, as is being a member of the RTPI or eligible for membership. Additionally, you will need to possess excellent communication and organisational skills, ensuring seamless delivery of planning services.

What We Offer
The salary for this role is approximately £46,175-£49,695 per annum (inclusive of pay award pending). This post also offers flexible working arrangements, including agile working and home-working options. You will benefit from generous holiday entitlements, including 26 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 29 days after five years' service and 32 days following 10 years' continuous service. Other benefits include access to a cycle to work scheme, salary sacrifice car lease scheme, employee assistance programme, and more.
