Theatre Nurse Job Description

As a Theatre Nurse at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth running of surgical procedures. This role requires a high level of skill, expertise, and professionalism, and we are seeking a candidate who can meet these demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual.
  2. Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients.
  3. Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies.
  4. Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines.
  5. Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards.
  6. Undertake regular mandatory training.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital in Theatre environment within the last 3 years.
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
