Senior Design Manager - Water Sector

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our design team in the water sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating design activities across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the design coordination process across multiple projects within the Severn Trent Water framework.
  2. Manage and review design outputs to ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  4. Oversee the production of design documentation, ensuring accuracy, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  5. Provide technical input during project planning and tendering phases.
  6. Work closely with the construction team to ensure the design is fully integrated into the project.
  7. Ensure that all design activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  1. Experience within the water sector or infrastructure projects.
  2. Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  3. Strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, and relevant regulations within the water sector.
  4. Ability to liaise effectively with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  5. Proven experience in leading design teams and managing stakeholders.
