Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the development and education of children in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in working closely with the class teacher and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities that cater to children's developmental needs.
• Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing findings with teachers and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to enhance the learning experience and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
• Assist with preparing learning materials and maintaining a well-organized classroom.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification (Drama, Dance, Psychology, English, Sports science or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a school setting or at after-school clubs or youth clubs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
