We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our client, a leading company in the industry. This is a full-time opportunity based in a modern office and is pivotal in supporting our finance department.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all financial control of the business, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage month-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, work in progress (WIP), group company management charges, and P&L month-end reports.
- Manage cash flow and working capital to optimise financial resources.
- Prepare statutory returns and ensure directors receive accurate and timely management information.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage and mentor two finance team members.
- Handle payroll, debt collection, and supplier payments.
- Provide necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
- Offer day-to-day IT support and liaise with external IT support companies.
- Collaborate with directors and senior management to establish and improve effective processes and controls.
- ACCA or CIMA part or fully qualified, or Qualified By Experience (QBE).
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with RedSky software.
- Knowledge of HMRC tools for CIS and FPS submissions.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and liaise with various levels of the business.
- Experience in the construction industry is advantageous but not essential.
