Lancashire Mind seeks an experienced Community Engagement Specialist to join our Adult Projects team. This exciting opportunity focuses on the Connecting Communities project, aiming to engage and support South Asian communities in Lancashire.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated individual with significant experience of working with diverse communities. The postholder will have excellent communication skills and be fluent in languages such as Urdu, Punjabi, or Bengali. A strong understanding of the communities in Lancashire and the barriers they face is essential.

Main Responsibilities
  • To coordinate community engagement initiatives that promote inclusivity and access to services for marginalized groups.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with local organizations and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Significant experience in community engagement and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in languages such as Urdu, Punjabi, or Bengali (advantageous).
  • A strong understanding of the communities in Lancashire and their specific needs.
