You will also be expected to work closely with other departments within the council to ensure that our economic development efforts are aligned with broader strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective economic development strategies to support business growth and job creation
  • Provide advice and guidance to businesses on accessing funding and resources to support their growth
  • Work with local businesses to identify and address their needs and concerns
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including businesses, community groups, and other partners
  • Contribute to the development of the council's economic development plan and associated policies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of economic development principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including businesses, community groups, and other partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as economics, business administration, or a related discipline
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £33 per hour (Umbrella). In addition to your salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a competitive pension scheme, and generous annual leave entitlement.
