Professional Family Development Specialist

Responsibilities:
- To engage challenging families with multiple needs and develop effective strategies to overcome barriers.
- To undertake direct work with individual children, young people, and parents to address various issues, including school attendance, home routines, and other practical aspects of family life.
- To contribute towards family-based assessments and the development of outcome-focused intervention support plans.
- To maintain accurate records and produce reports as required.
- To prioritize work under pressure and be self-motivating while demonstrating a commitment to safeguarding the welfare and safety of children and young people.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working directly with families with multiple needs, preferably with children aged 0-18.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with service users, professionals, and colleagues.
- Ability to keep appropriate records and produce reports.
- Demonstrable commitment to safeguarding the welfare and safety of children and young people at all times.
- Understanding and knowledge of child development and family functioning.
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
