Are you ready to take your skills to the next level in a dynamic and innovative environment? We're seeking a talented individual to join our team at BMW Hams Hall, Birmingham, as a Controls and IT Innovation Placement student.

As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies such as generative AI, robotics, and digital twins. You'll collaborate with our award-winning team to develop sophisticated systems, utilizing cloud and on-premises solutions, and industry-standard tools like Apache Kafka.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in pioneering projects that leverage AI to revolutionize our approach to problem-solving and automation.
  • Enhance your skills in full-stack development, understanding industry working and devops practices.
  • Gain experience with cloud technologies from providers like AWS & Azure, ensuring versatile infrastructure knowledge.
  • Work with industry-standard real-time data streaming platforms to build robust and scalable systems.
  • Develop control algorithms and strategies to optimize process performance.

Requirements:

  • Studying towards a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related STEM field, and on track to achieving a 2:1.
  • Technical Versatility: Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Swift, and others would be advantageous.
  • Innovation-Driven: A passion for staying on top of the latest tech trends and applying innovative solutions to real-world problems.

We offer a competitive annual salary of £25,300, 27 days holiday per annum (pro rata to your contract), and an attractive pension scheme.
