Job Title: Head of Sustainability

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Sustainability to lead our Sustainability Team in delivering sustainable and low-energy design projects across various sectors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for growing our Sustainability function, providing strategic direction, and leading business development opportunities to develop the team into a core strand of our business offering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Sustainability Team to deliver sustainability assessment and design consultancy services within the built environment industry;
  • Conduct calculations, computer modelling, and prepare professional consultancy reports, proposals or presentations;
  • Project management, delivery, and senior stakeholder management;
  • Business development for the Sustainability Team through new and existing client base;
  • Support work winning through bid support, innovation, client liaison, upskilling of colleagues, and external profile-raising of Inhabit services;
  • Develop ongoing strategy to grow and develop Inhabit's Sustainability business offering;
Requirements
  • Degree holder in engineering/science related to green building, civil & environmental, sustainability, building services, mechanical & electrical or equivalent;
  • Extensive experience in green building assessment, sustainability assessment consultancy services;
  • Experience of working on projects in the Middle East would be advantageous;
  • Experience of ASHRAE;
  • Maintain an established understanding of building physics such as thermal bridging, air movement, wind, solar, etc.
