Job Title: Inspection Administrator

Join the Scottish Government team as an Inspection Administrator, providing administrative support throughout the programme of inspection.

Job Summary

The Inspection Administrator will be responsible for planning and managing workload, administering all aspects of inspection/review activity, and updating and maintaining systems to ensure progress is captured for reporting purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage workload using allocation of inspection/review activity.
  • Administer all aspects of inspection/review activity from notification of the establishment through to final publication of the inspection report.
  • Update and maintain systems (Excel and databases) throughout the process to ensure that progress of inspection/review is captured for reporting purposes.
  • Update and maintain the records management system for each inspection/review.
  • Raise, track and receipt Purchase Orders (EASEbuy).
  • Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders regarding the process of inspection and/or consultation.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced office environment, proficient in the use of Outlook, Word, and Excel IT packages.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your workload and use your own initiative to balance competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to collate different forms of data to provide appropriate information to produce reports and recommendations.
Location

This role can be based out of one of our Education Scotland office locations, Glasgow, Livingston, Dundee or Inverness. This post is hybrid working in line with current Scottish Government policies.

Scottish Government is preparing for the implementation of a new HR and Finance platform and, as a result, some job offers will be subject to an October 2024 start date at the earliest. This will be confirmed as your application progresses.

This is a 23 month Fixed Term Appointment - Fair & Open.
