Job Description

ROLE PROFILE

To effectively communicate the value of allocated products to national payers and remove barriers to market access, Consult seeks a proactive Health Economist to lead our in-house approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, review, and refine UK/Ireland National Market Access Plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Recommend optimal HTA strategies and lead all aspects of the HTA process for allocated products in UK/Ireland
  • Contribute to cross-functional Franchise teams and provide expertise on Market Access, ensuring it is integral to brand strategy and tactics
  • Produce high-quality materials that communicate the value of products to national payers
  • Apply in-depth technical knowledge of HE modelling and value communication using various channels
  • Develop and adapt Corporate HEOR materials, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and relevant to the UK/Ireland setting and the ABPI code of practice
  • Commission and manage large projects with third-party vendors and internal/external stakeholders
  • Foster in-house development and training of other health economists

REQUIREMENTS

  • MSc in Health Economics or equivalent discipline
  • Ability to work at a strategic level within cross-functional teams
  • Good working knowledge and practical experience of

o all methods of economic evaluation

o HTA bodies, including NICE and the SMC

o UK and Ireland market access barriers

o development of payer materials

o training cross-functional teams
