Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our Technical Services Department at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the resort’s 32 rides and attractions, ensuring they are in good working order and providing an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and safety of our rides and attractions.
  • Conduct opening and closing checks to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Participate in our annual winter maintenance program to ensure all rides and attractions are in good working order.
  • Provide technical expertise to develop and improve the reliability, safety, and ride availability of our attractions.

Requirements

  • A "can do" attitude and endless energy and enthusiasm for the role.
  • An ONC, NVQ level 3 or BTEC equivalent gained through an Apprenticeship or college route in engineering.
  • Post-apprenticeship experience, including inspection experience.
  • A full understanding of engineering-related statutory requirements such as COSHH.
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems of work.
  • The ability to read and use engineering drawings.
  • The ability to display problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience of using technical manuals, risk assessments, and related documentation.
