About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Counter Terrorism Policing. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and developing our cloud platforms, ensuring the availability and security of our national systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transform technical requirements into DevOps processes
  • Build complex stories without additional support
  • Manage development and test environments
  • Identify and resolve issues that are preventing operations or delivery
  • Take an active role in the support and development and operation of the cloud infrastructure
  • Provide project input to ensure standards are met
  • Work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Ensure personal workload is effectively managed, prioritised and issues are escalated to line management as necessary
  • Ensure adherence to required policies, standards, controls and best practice
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure all services are maintained and knowledge is shared
  • Proactively monitor DevOps environments to help prevent issues arising
  • Deputise for senior cloud engineers as required
