About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Paediatric Consultant to join our dynamic team at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Neonatal team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in neonatology and general paediatrics
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and guidelines to improve patient care
  • Contribute to the development of the Neonatal team and the wider paediatric service
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team working and contribute to the delivery of training and supervision to junior colleagues
  • Undertake ward rounds and provide clinical care to patients on the neonatal unit and transitional care unit
  • Develop and maintain sub-specialty interests that fit in with Division needs and the strategic direction of the Trust
Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC and CCT (or equivalent) in Paediatrics and Neonatology
  • MRCPCH(UK) or equivalent and EPALS/APLS provider or equivalent
  • Experience in neonatology and competent to manage neonates at all gestations
  • Ability to lead a multi-professional team and take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm to develop services as required
