About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Paediatric Consultant to join our dynamic team at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our perinatal service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to neonates and their families, including stabilisation and transfer to tertiary units.
  • Lead a multi-professional team and take full responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
  • Develop and implement services as required, with a focus on neonatology and general paediatrics.
  • Contribute to teaching, examination, and accreditation duties, as well as continuing medical education activities.
  • Participate in clinical audit and governance activities, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Fully registered with the GMC and holding a CCT or equivalent in Paediatrics and Neonatology.
  • Expertise in full range of Paediatric and Neonatal conditions, with experience in neonatology and competent to manage neonates at all gestations.
  • Ability to lead a multi-professional team and take full responsibility for clinical care of patients.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm to develop services as required.
