Job Title: Automotive Content Editor

RAC is seeking an experienced Automotive Content Editor to join our Performance Marketing team on a permanent basis. As an Automotive Content Editor, you will play a key role in developing RAC DRIVE into the number one destination for consumers who are looking for the latest automotive advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creation and management of automotive content for the RAC Content Hub, digital publishing through the CMS.
  • Increasing top of funnel traffic by making RAC DRIVE a content leader across a broad range of automotive topics and themes.
  • Acting as the editorial lead for car & van reviews, taking a key role in its ongoing improvement and optimisation.
  • Ensuring automotive advice and guide pages are regularly updated to make RAC the number one destination for new and used car editorial.
  • Producing weekly and monthly editorial plans and prioritising your own workload.
  • Playing a vital role in SEO content strategy scoping translated in to a short- and long-term strategy and yearly deliverable channel content roadmap.
  • Providing insightful recommendations to grow visibility and traffic incrementally to a wide audience group.
  • Liaising with the RAC PR team to ensure best practise and maximise opportunities.
  • Supporting diversification of content to ensure it is engaging and accessible to users and crawlers across the core domain and shareable platforms.
  • Supporting with customer-facing product-content copy changes as required.
  • Using Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs and key SEO tools to identify trends and opportunities so that RAC remains at forefront of innovation.
Requirements:
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear consumer content that explains complicated concepts.
  • The ability to prioritise high volume of projects and processes and be able to deliver projects on time long side the studio resource manager.
  • Confidence in working with a CMS and have an eye for UX.
  • Experience in working at pace and achieving tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
