Job Title: Automotive Content Editor

RAC is seeking an experienced Automotive Content Editor to join our Performance Marketing team on a permanent basis. As an integral part of our team, you will play a key role in developing RAC DRIVE into the number one destination for consumers seeking the latest automotive advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage automotive content for the RAC Content Hub, ensuring high-quality and engaging content that meets our audience's needs.
  • Act as the editorial lead for car and van reviews, driving their ongoing improvement and optimization.
  • Ensure automotive advice and guide pages are regularly updated, making RAC the go-to destination for new and used car editorial.
  • Produce weekly and monthly editorial plans, prioritizing your workload to meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to SEO content strategy, developing short- and long-term plans to drive organic traffic and visibility.
  • Produce clear, concise, and engaging copy that captures organic searches while maintaining our editorial integrity and promoting our brand purpose.
  • Collaborate with the RAC PR team to ensure best practices and maximize opportunities.
  • Support content diversification to ensure it is engaging and accessible to users and crawlers across the core domain and shareable platforms.
  • Support customer-facing product-content copy changes as required.
  • Utilize Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, and key SEO tools to identify trends and opportunities, ensuring RAC remains at the forefront of innovation.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive content creation, with a strong understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear consumer content that explains complex concepts.
  • Ability to prioritize high-volume projects and processes, delivering projects on time while managing studio resources.
  • Confidence in working with a CMS and an eye for UX.
  • Experience working at pace and achieving tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
