Job Title: Active Cockpit Rig Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to join our team as an Active Cockpit Rig Team Lead. The role will be based in a dynamic and innovative environment, requiring the post holder to be on-site full time.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver work packages, manage personnel, and ensure quality control and operational management
  2. Lead a team of 12-20 engineers, reporting to the Engineering Manager for the Simulation & Synthetic Engineering Department
  3. Operateally manage project tasks to ensure the team and wider resources are prioritized in line with contract needs and against planned deliverables / milestones
  4. Manage personnel and sub-contract staff for the Warton & Filton based groups, ensuring they operate as an integrated team
  5. Work closely with the ACR Technical Lead to ensure the ACR provides an efficient design prototyping service with simulation facilities that support our internal customers
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience
  • Experienced Software Engineer with experience in C/C++
  • Simulation Software and Hardware experience
  • Agile methodology experience, with experience of Jira
  • Experience of leading teams
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Mission Systems would be desirable

You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
