We are currently representing a leading consultancy provider to the Infrastructure sector, seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to work on prestigious infrastructure-based projects.

Job Overview

You will come with a wealth of experience in cost management, ready to apply your existing knowledge in a new dynamic environment. We're looking for a candidate comfortable in having challenging conversations with a consultative approach that brings the best out of their team and client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing friendly, professional, and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues, and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.
  • Administering various contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
  • Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
  • Proactively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow and ensuring applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Managing contract change effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
  • Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  • Providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
  • Leading people and commissions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven Cost / Commercial Management experience
  • Preferably MRICS
  • NEC3 contracts (in particular Option C – Target Cost)
  • Post contract administration
  • Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects
  • Experience of working on Infrastructure projects (Rail, air, marine/ports, utilities highways)
  • Experience in leading and managing teams

Compensation & Benefits: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
