Store Operations Manager

As a Store Operations Manager at Berthon, The Shipyard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient support of new construction, refit, and repair operations. Your responsibilities will include effective management of a wide-ranging inventory, implementing and managing materials distribution processes, and managing staff and stores facilities to meet requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage receipt of materials, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and managing returns of non-compliant items.
- Implement and manage an effective programme of continuous improvement in relation to all aspects of inventory.
- Use of Forklift truck to unload deliveries.
- Manage provision of lifting and handling facilities for heavy items.
- Manage security of materials and workshop facilities.
- Proven track record managing a stores department and personnel in the marine or engineering sector.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Interest in boating would be a distinct advantage.
- Forklift truck driver (training provided)
- First Aider (training provided)
- In depth knowledge of marine equipment and materials.
- Good understanding of yacht production, refit, and repair requirements.
