We are seeking a dedicated individual to support pupils with various special educational needs, including Autism and behavioural challenges.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will work in a secondary school in Barking and Dagenham to nurture pupils in developing lifelong, transferable skills. They will assist in providing one-to-one and smaller group support, creating a rapport with parents and tracking student progress. The role also involves supporting the emotional and social development of pupils and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working with SEND pupils
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Previous experience working with SEND pupils
  • Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of SEND best practices
  • Eager to support students academically and emotionally
  • Ability to work in a team collaboratively to ensure pupil progression academically and emotionally
