About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Credit Officer to join our team at Lloyds Banking Group. As a key member of our credit team, you will be responsible for managing an active portfolio of counterparties in the Utilities sector, undertaking independent credit assessments, and developing recommendations for presentation to sanctioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of counterparties in the Utilities sector, ensuring timely and accurate credit assessments.
  • Undertake independent credit assessments of proposals, identifying key risks and developing recommendations for presentation to sanctioners.
  • Collaborate closely with originators, relationship managers, and product partners to shape credit proposals and maintain a balance of risk and reward.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, escalating emerging risks to senior management and other interested parties as appropriate.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to undertake periodic sector reviews, identifying potential areas of weakness and opportunity.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge and significant experience of corporate credit analysis, preferably in Regulated Utilities and Integrated Utilities.
  • Evidence of relevant credit experience assessing large corporates with a proven track record of consistent performance.
  • Experience assessing complex lending and derivative transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrable high levels of attention to detail, numeracy, and accuracy.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships and work within a supportive yet ambitious team.
