As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents, while also promoting their independence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager as required
- Ensure that our team of Residential Care Workers are up-to-date with mandatory learning and assist with their individual development
- Communicate effectively with the on-site team and raise awareness of individual care plans and their implementation
- Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets, and files
- Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
- Provide support and care to young people in our services
- Encourage young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling
- Travel with young people to and from school or college
- Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home environment
- Organise and facilitate social activities
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- 12 months senior experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable
