A reputable MSP in Birmingham is seeking a skilled Network Systems Specialist to join their team of 15 engineers. This role offers the opportunity to work across both project implementations and critical support, ensuring that our clients' network systems are secure, reliable, and optimised.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of 15 engineers on a range of infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, cloud migrations, and network expansions.
  • They will provide comprehensive support for server infrastructure and network environments, troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
  • Responsibilities include managing, monitoring, and optimizing server environments, network configurations, and cloud services (e.g., Azure) to maintain high availability.
  • Ensuring compliance with security policies and managing regular patching, updates, and documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of all infrastructure changes, configurations, and disaster recovery plans.

Requirements:

  • Active SC Clearance is required for immediate onboarding on sensitive projects.
  • 3+ Years in an Infrastructure / Network Engineering position
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux systems, and cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure).
  • Virtualisation - VMware / Hyper-V Experience
  • Networking Fundamentals - Cisco Routing & Switch
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex technical issues in server and network systems.

Key Benefits:

  • Birmingham-based role initially onsite but flexible once probation is passed.

Salary Information:

  • Up to £50,000 basic per annum
