Consultant in Gastroenterology and Intestinal Rehabilitation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Gastroenterology and Intestinal Rehabilitation to join our dynamic team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will provide specialty input to the clinical nutrition, intestinal rehabilitation, and intestinal/multivisceral transplant services, as well as to the gastroenterology and endoscopy services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to patients with gastrointestinal diseases, including intestinal rehabilitation and multivisceral transplantation.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care for patients.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols for gastrointestinal care.

Person Specification
  • Qualifications: GMC registration, specialist training in gastroenterology and intestinal rehabilitation.
  • Standards: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrable commitment to clinical governance and quality improvement.
  • Clinical Skills: Expertise in gastrointestinal medicine, intestinal rehabilitation, and multivisceral transplantation.
  • Specialty Specific Skills: Ability to develop and implement treatment plans for complex gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Clinical Governance: Commitment to clinical governance and quality improvement.
