About the Role

The Deputy Manager is a key position in our pub's success. As a leader of the front of house team, you will be knowledgeable about our products and passionate about providing great experiences for our guests and team.

Your role will be crucial in supporting the General Manager in achieving the ambitions and goals of your pub. Responsibilities will include:

  • Increasing sales through events and promotions, using engaging marketing content, and social media platforms.
  • Managing stock on a daily basis, and ensuring appropriate stock levels for all events.
  • Delivering excellent standards in customer service, effective networking, site safety, and hygiene.
  • Motivating, coaching, and leading the team, and managing their performance and development.
  • Controlling costs, creating efficiencies, and managing and meeting GPs, through a clear understanding of your pub profit and loss report.
  • Utilising company IT platforms to complete required processes and procedures, ensuring operational and legislative compliance, including health and safety.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with strong customer service skills, the ability to develop an inspiring culture across the site for your customers and your team. You will be able to plan and organise, with a strategic awareness of the long-term goals of the business and be able to achieve your objectives, using evidence-based decision making, and your determination to succeed.

About Hydes Brewery

Established in 1863, Hydes Brewery is based in Manchester and has expanded to include a portfolio of nearly 50 restaurants, pubs, bars, and hotels. We have pubs across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and throughout Cheshire, including Chester and Wrexham, and some in the Wirral, near Liverpool.
