Job Title: Ophthalmology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ophthalmology Specialist Nurse to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to work in our busy Ophthalmology nursing team. As an Ophthalmology Specialist Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working autonomously, and managing your own caseload.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist eye care services to patients with visual concerns
  • Work in our Eye Casualty Service, running nurse-led clinics, and delivering specialist eye intervention treatments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • Good basic level of English language demonstrated through effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Prescribing Qualification
  • Masters qualification or studying towards
  • Ophthalmology Experience
  • Oculoplastic Experience
  • Surgical / Outpatient Experience
