Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Handling Equipment Trainer to join our team at MM Flowers. As an MHE Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs for various types of material handling equipment, ensuring the safe and proper use of MHE across all MM Flowers sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Create and implement training programs for MHE operators, including classroom and hands-on training sessions.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver training sessions to certify employees in the safe operation of MHE and pre-use checks.
  • Assess and Evaluate Trainees: Evaluate trainees' performance to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Maintain Training Records: Keep accurate training records and certification documentation.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Planning Teams: Work with the safety and planning teams to identify training needs and improve overall warehouse safety.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide Refresher Courses: Offer refresher courses and ongoing training for existing employees.
  • Develop and Update Training Materials: Create and update training materials and manuals to ensure they are current and meet industry standards.
Requirements
  • Certified MHE Trainer: Possess a certified MHE trainer qualification, preferably RTITB/ITSSAR.
  • Instructor Qualifications: Hold instructor qualifications in PPT, Reach, Counterbalance training.
  • Train The Trainer Certificate: Possess a Train The Trainer Certificate, desirable.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations: Have a strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to MHE operations.
  • Ability to Develop and Update Training Materials: Be able to develop and update training materials and manuals.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to Assess and Evaluate Employee Performance: Be able to assess and evaluate employee performance effectively.
  • Commitment to Safety and Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: A competitive salary of £34,000 per annum.
  • Shift Pattern: Work a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off shift pattern, with only 7 days in 14.
  • Benefits: A range of benefits, including 21 days holiday per year, increasing to 23 days with 3 years' service, salary sacrifice pension, private medical insurance, life assurance, and career progression opportunities.
