NCSC Speechwriter and External Affairs Manager

About the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC)The NCSC is the UK Government's lead authority on cyber security, driving the country's cyber security strategy and working towards making the UK the safest place to live and work online. As a key part of GCHQ, the NCSC is at the forefront of the UK's cyber security efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of External Affairs in delivering the NCSC's External Affairs strategy, aligning with the organization's communications and organizational strategy to ensure effective engagement with government, public, and private sector stakeholders.
- Write agenda-setting speeches for the CEO and senior NCSC representatives, working with internal stakeholders to ensure speaking engagements and speeches align with the NCSC and GCHQ's strategic priorities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key organizations and teams to support the organization's objectives.
- Contribute to stakeholder mapping and develop a detailed two-way engagement plan for each stakeholder group.
- Research and report on opportunities and risks for relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Assist in producing briefings, events, and other communications materials for key stakeholders to promote better understanding of key issues and initiatives.
- Experience working in a fast-paced communications environment with tight deadlines.
- Experience in speechwriting or other written communications for public audiences.
- Experience working with a broad set of stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
